General Information

“ISL’S SUMMER ENGLISH ENRICHMENT PROGRAM, DESIGNED FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, EXPOSES YOUR CHILD TO A WIDE VARIETY OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS WHILE PRACTICING SPEAKING AND LISTENING IN ENGLISH RESULTING IN INCREASED LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY”.

EACH OF THE FOUR WEEKS INCLUDES THE  FOLLOWING THEMES:

Elementary School:

Week 1—Literacy Week  “Fabulous Me”

Week 2—Science Week “Wonderful World”

Week 3—Exploration Week “Bon Voyage!”

Week 4—Culture Week “Unique Countries”

 We offer daily Gymnastics lessons and weekly swimming and field trips.

Middle School:

Week 1 & 2— Exploration of Nature

Week 3 &4— Film Studies

 Along with the enrichment of the mind, students will enrich their body through organized sports activities and exciting field trips. Sports and games each week will include classroom activities, indoor team sports, outdoor team sports and games. Each week will also include field trips to the beach, forest, lake or the city with organized activities such as a treasure hunt, orientation activities, survival skills, building a fort, and free time for relaxing.

Registration

To register your child, please fill out the registration form (attached) and e-mail to mpole@isl.edu.lv or fax to: +371 67755009. 

Once you have enrolled your child, an invoice will be sent to your indicated e-mail address. Payment is required by June 28, 2013.

Costs

300 Euro/week - Non ISL members, or ISL members who sign up after May 1, 2013.

200 Euro/week - ISL members, who sign up by May 1, 2013.

The tuition covers one hour per day Gymnastics lesson given by Igors Vihrov’s gymnastic trainer and swimming once a week for Lower School students, organized sports for Middle School students, weekly fieldtrips, hot lunch and snacks 2 times a day, as well as all educational materials.

 Cancellation & Refund policy:

• 90% of the tuition can be refunded if you cancel by May 31, 2013.
• 50% of the tuition can be refunded if you cancel by June 17, 2013 .
• No refund will be issued if you cancel after June 19, 2012 or after the session starts.
• No refund will be given for: dismissal due to disciplinary action, homesickness, late arrival, early departure    or vacation.

Written notice is required to cancel or change your registration.

What will you need?

For your children to fully enjoy all the outdoor & indoor activities, please bring in the following items, labeled with your child’s name:

 A change of sports clothes (socks, shorts, pants, T-shirt, sports shoes placed in a drawstring backpack);

 Swimming equipment (swimsuit, towel, goggles, swim cap placed in a drawstring backpack);

 Sun screen & sun hat;

 Water bottle

 Indoor shoes

 For small children who nap: a light blanket & pillow.
