Golf (Gr.3 - Gr.11)

We will offer Golf in Jurmala Golf Club, which is located really close to ISL. Students will be able to learn both basics in the game of Golf and also improve upon the skills they already have. 

 

In lessons our certified coaches will teach the basic skills, rules and etiquette that children need to know to play golf. Our coaches are: Indra Eniņa and Linda Ķirķe who both are successful and titled golfers with more than 15- year experience in golf. For last few years they have been leading lessons, events and practice sessions for kids and teenagers alike. Our main goal is to create entertaining and captivating atmosphere in which juniors can expand their knowledge about golf and learn new skills.

Lesson price includes: range, range balls, golf clubs, other equipment needed for lessons, 2 coaches and ability to use Academy Course under direct supervision of our mentors.

First lesson - Learning the basic golf skills needed, safety instructions, etiquette and etc. Learning basis for long shots and practice them.

Second lesson - Improving skills and safety instructions learned at first practice and adding some more rules. Learning the basic shots of short game.

Third lesson - Playing first hole at Jurmala Golf Club & Hotel Academy course - group will be split in two teams, which will play against each other. Task is to play the hole with possibly lowest score. In a team every next shot will be played by different player in order.

Fourth lesson - Long game improvement in range. Exercises and games with intention to improve skills.

Fifth lesson - Short game lesson - putting and chipping. Exercises and games to improve short game skills.

Sixth lesson - Play on the Academy course. Group will be split in two teams, which will play against each other. Task is to play the hole with possibly lowest score. In a team every next shot will be played by different player in order.

Seventh lesson - We will be playing entertaining game, which includes elements about golf rules and etiquette to check what juniors have learned until 7th lesson.

Eighth lesson - Diversity of exercises to strengthen the skills. Repeating long game shots and short game shots, both chipping and putting to get ready for the competition.

Ninth lesson - Last lesson, separate competition between girls and boys. Competition will happen in 3 parts: putting, accuracy in short shots and long shots. Awarding winners and giving certificates for each of juniors.
